The farm house is located inside the Mincio Regional Park and it is close to the towns of Mantua and Verona. Easy to reach are also some interesting attractions such as the Sanctuary of Our Lady Grace, where the historical pavement artists fair takes place, the Garda Lake and the fascinating medieval villages of Sabbioneta and Castellaro Lagusello. In the farm house some bicycles are available for the guests. We can also organise some guided tours along the Micio valley by Kayak or Canadian canoe to let our guests discover the beauty of the Mincio park both from the land and from the river. |

| The farm holiday "Rosita" is placed in a '600 ancient country house completely restructured. 4 apartments have been drawn with two rooms each of which one equipped for handicapped people. All the apartments have in common a wooden poor art furnishings, a kitchen in rustic style, a characteristic fireplace, beds made by hand in wrought-iron and an independent bath. The apartments at the plain earth are characterized by a rare ceiling in bricks completely restored, and those at the first floor show a characteristic wooden ceiling. On the second floor of Villa Verde are three, recently renovated, bedrooms for the convenience of guests, and with “en suite” bathrooms; and besider a large open space with mezzanine level, combined living and dining room for breakfast. The “Rupe Magna” is the largest example of rock carving in the alpine area. Entry to the park is free, but to fully appreciate the history we recommended a guided tour. Two very old stone cottages were restored in the courtyard, both according with the principles of the eco-bio architecture. Our guests will enjoy a total privacy, living in completely independent cottages, surrounded by silence, at the rhythm of a natural harmonious stream. SOLIMAGO spreads out between wild plants, irises, lavender, wisteria, roses, ivy-clad stonewalls and the fragrance of aromatics herbs in an enchanted and silent environment. It is a place to forget the passing time and to give free course to the sensations springing from the fairy, scented garden, where a stunning Magnolia grows near secular cedars of Lebanon and giant Mulberries, a memory of the silk mill that was productive until 1930. Old stone cottages, located in the big garden near the family house, have been newly converted into completely independent apartments. The apartments can accommodate from 1 to 7 people. They are isolated units inside the big garden where our family lives and the AZIENDA AGRICOLA SOLIMAGO is located. The renovation has been done following the principles of eco-bio architecture, with organic materials as raw earth insulating plasters, chunky rafters, larch-wood and terracotta floors and energy saving tools, like radiant heating floors and lighting through tubular skylight. The furniture is a wise mix of old and new, where we used only healthy materials as wood, glass, natural latex, cotton, silk, feathers. The courtyard and the cottages stand at the base of the slopes of an old oak wood; not far from the vineyards where the Merlot and Cabernet and Tokay grapes ripen to give the delicious SOLIMAGO’s wines. |
