The property has been restored using many of the original materials, thus retaining many of its traditional rural features and creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere, whilst providing all the modern comforts and equipment. The building is surrounded by 2 hectares of farmland cereal crop cultivation and meadows. The large swimming pool (14m x 7m) with ample paving is situated in front of the house, ideal for children and sunbathing. The verandas and covered porches are perfect for eating out during the day and evening. “Calabricchia” is an ideal base for visiting local attractions, such as the “Orecchiella Park”, the cultural cities of Lucca, Pisa and Florence and the Versilia coast. |

We will be glad to organise bike excursions on request. Sites of interest include ancient churches, Renaissance villas and typical Tuscan farmhouses, where you can the taste local wines, home-pressed olive oil and other delicious food typical of the region. The villa has a large terrace with magnificent views and a big garden with swimming pool (deck-chairs, sunshades and barbecue provided). Enjoy the company of our two donkeys "Margherita" and "Ljuba" - we organise excursions for children! Location The villa is situated in the tiny village of San Macario in Piano, just 5 km from Lucca and not far from Viareggio, the River Serchio and Torre del Lago Puccini. How to get there By car From Lucca take the Via Sarzanese towards Viareggio for about 4km. Turn right towards San Macario in Monte (Via Gavine) and after about 800m turn left at a small bridge (Via Corte Po). After the bridge, turn right again. After approximately 100m you will see our villa, Dreamers, at street number 296. By train If you wish to arrive by train, we will be happy to pick you up from the train station at Lucca (10,00€). |

The farmhouse “Al Molino della Luna” was set-up in 2002 when the owners brought the land in their possession (roughly 35.000 square metres) under cultivation again. The buildings which today host the holiday cottages, included the ancient water-mill, were restored only afterwards. The farmhouse is run by the owner Luna Lunardi with the help of her husband Mario Barbi and, when it is possible, of her sons Daniel and Thomas and offers peace, relaxation and privacy to all those who wish to spend their holidays in the green of the countryside. The holiday cottages were recovered with great skill from the building of the old mill and some of its dependence, they are provided with any comforts you may need (as heating, outdoor space with barbecue, satellite TV, Hi-Fi, dishwasher, bed linen, tablecloths and towels as well). Small beds and chairs for children, mountain bikes and ping-pong tables are available on request. Besides being used for growing crops, the farmland also provides wide meadows, an amusement park for children and a beautiful swimming pool were both adults and children may enjoy themselves, play and relax. Small pets are accepted. The location of the farmhouse, which is set in the middle of the Serchio River Valley, is an ideal starting point for walks in the surroundings or for day trips to the Natural Park of the Apuan Alps or to the National Park of the Apennines. From the farmhouse it is, also, easy to get to most of the famous cities and to the main sites of cultural interest. Among these it is worth mentioning some of the main centres as, for example, Lucca, Pisa and Florence or, among the minor centres, Montecarlo, Pietrasanta and Bagni di Lucca with the famous spa resort. |

The Country house in composed by three buildings: The old farmer's house built in stones which opens in a large "aia" (the barn yard) used in old times to dry the agricultural products like corn, or where farmers met to talk while working at husking corn or shelling beans. The house has now been restructured and there are two apartments each with an independent entrance and outdoor place. The old hayloft has been transformed into a small apartment with a veranda where you can have meals or rest. On the ground floor there is a wood oven, a common room with video, books, computer and a laundry. The third house is now a very nice apartment at the first floor with avery nice veranda, and a little private area of farmer at the ground floor. All is immerged in green space, with meadows, coltivated fields, fruit trees, the vegetable garden, everything at our guest's disposal. Within our property flows the river Serchio and one can reach it by foot for fishing or rest in the shadow of old poplar trees. One can walk to the old nearby village of Sanbuca, or to the lake of Pontecosi to relax and watch the birds which live on the lake. |

Holiday house Il Trebbio is an old Tuscan farmhouse which has been completely restored ,maintaining in part the originality of its structure but at the same time providing the availability of all modern comforts.It has a size of approximately 110 square metres and internally has been painted with pastel /rustic colors.The house consist of a large living room with a beautiful rustic fireplace.To note the (very old) oak beam and the original material used to build it.The kitchen,cooking utensils provided and with a marble worktop, is in communication with this area.From a large vestibule, yellow painted, there’s the access to the three bedrooms and the main bathroom.One of these bedrooms is very large and it includes a double bed and a bunk bed.The lovely characteristic of this room is the way it was painted: by a particular sponge and a delicate rose colour.The other two good-sized bedrooms contain two single beds and another double bed.The main bathroom is so large that include a shower box and a bath too.The second bathroom is at the ground floor, here the washing machine and another shower box. Outside the house, from the bamboo covered large private terrace you can see an idyllic holiday card of Barga and of Serchio valley. Eating al fresco is a real treat the lights of the town provide a romantic backdrop, and due to the altitude it feels possible to touch the stars! Next to the terrace a stone made barbecue and a large panoramic garden with sunbeds and an hammock too.The shade of the plum tree, ot the two cherry trees and of the walnut is idyllic (like their fruits!) during the summer days. This is the higher garden, the other one is at the entrance of the villa.Here a wood made roofing, where there’s the possibility to park one car (the space in front of the house is large enough for 4/5 cars!) and a monumental age-old olive root that give hospitality to several species of ornamental flowers. |

| Farmhouse complex that was totally restored in 1998 and transformed into 4 beautiful apartments on a hilltop not far from Lucca. The stone farmhouse sits at 600 meters altitude and offers views over the surrounding countryside with chestnut forests, and steep wooded mountains. It is a little paradise from which one can hike all the mountain trails and visit the historical cities of central Tuscany. Gallicano with all facilities is at 10 kms, Lucca is at 50 kms, while Firenze and the seaside at Forte dei Marmi are an hour’s drive away. Worth a visit is also the famous cave called "Grotta del Vento", unique in its speleological majesty. The property is well served by a local asphalt road and it is bordered by fence with gate that operates with electronic key and internal com system connected to each apartment. As the farmhouse is built into the side of a hill, it is articulated on various levels and has a series of furnished terraces, a stone barbecue, and lawns with an above ground swimming pool that measures 5 X 10m sq. Each apartment has its own private furnished terrace space and totally independent entrance. These terraces are equipped with beautiful rustic tables and benches, providing perfect places to enjoy one’s meals while gazing at the panorama. Capanne 4 is in a separate barn. The apartments are centrally heated and total gas consumption is to be paid extra during heating season together with firewood. The apartments are very comfortable and furnished with abundant use of wood, providing a cosy atmosphere of refined taste. The restoration was executed with great care in respect of typical Tuscan architectural style with wood beamed ceilings, whitewashed walls and cotto floors. In some cases, original internal wooden ceilings were preserved, and where possible, the original stonework of the walls were restored and left in view. The cozy hay loft conversion was fashioned from Alessandra and Simona’s desires to welcome their guests with hospitality, personally ensuring the traditions of the local farms are captured in an oasis of peace and freedom. To make best use of the land we produce a high quality extra virgin olive oil and wine from Tuscan vines. The farmhouse features three bedrooms with private baths. Two bedrooms are equipped with full beds (one in romantic style under the eaves) and the third with the capacity to accommodate four people. All the rooms are finely remodeled and furnished to maintain a feel of the Tuscan hay loft where beautifully exposed wooden rafters and beams are seen throughout the interior and the original exterior walls have been maintained. Breakfast is served in comfortable sitting room warmed by a fireplace in winter. The grounds host views of Lucca, a gazebo and a barbeque. Free private parking is available.
