A two-storey structure, the house was probably a stage post on the ancient road that linked Lucca and Pistoia, and Leonardo da Vinci might even have stayed here. The Pitti farmhouse enjoys a great location near the major artistic and cultural tourist centres of northern Tuscany, including Florence, Lucca, Pisa, Pistoia, Prato, the neighbouring Montecatini Terme and Vinci, birthplace of Leonardo. Guests may choose from five apartments, each one with a comfortable lounge area with a couch and a fully-equipped kitchen corner; the bedrooms all have en suite bathrooms. The apartments have been organised in a way that not only respects the ancient structure of the house, but also reveals a little bit of its history.
