| Casa Ruffino is a delightful bed & breakfast situated in the centre of Balestrate, a small sea town, not far from Palermo, famous for its long sandy beaches and crystal clear sea. This luxurious bed & breakfast occupies part of the 19th century Palazzo Ruffino, a supremely elegant Sicilian residence the graceful interiors of which contain valuable items of antique furniture, exquisite stuccoes, and attractive "graniglia" floor tiles in various hues. A small town built just off the long sandy beaches lapped by the crystal clear waters of the gulf of Castellammare del Golfo. Balestrate is located on the North Western coast of Sicily, half way between Palermo (40km) and Trapani (50km). Within easy reach of Casa Ruffino lie Scopello, the Zingaro Nature Reserve, Segesta, and Erice. Just a little further away, to the West, there are the towns of Marsala and Mazara del Vallo. Travelling Southbound, along the Sicilian coast, visitors soon come to Sciacca and Agrigento. |
