| San Faustino Abbey is an old medieval small village of 1200, at 600 mt of altitude, surrounded by a pure nature, in a panoramic location from where you can appreciate the unusual view of the Umbrian countryside. Today its 16 suites, with all modern comforts, offers to the guests an elegant atmosphere, keeping the charm of the medieval past. Everywhere you can find period furniture, precious fabrics and stylish, wrought-iron lamps and handcrafted pottery. The Abbey 15th century beautifully frescoed church has been turned into an evocative relaxation lounge, also perfect for small meetings and events. The old stone-vaulted sacristy now houses a modern bar, where local products can also be tasted and purchased In the garden around the Abbey, a large heated swimming pool and solarium, is for the exclusive use of the guests who wants to completely relax. This ideal place for the total immersion in the nature, it is a perfect point to discover other famous cities as Assisi, Gubbio, Perugia and Spoleto; and we are just few km from Tuscany and Marche as well. In the Restaurant it is possible to taste typical Umbria and Tuscany dishes, but also other Italian traditional cooking thanks to our Chef. Our cooking philosophy is to enhance the freshness and genuineness of the products: meat from local farmers, home made pasta, cakes and marmalade directly done in our kitchen. We can organize gourmet tour, oil, wine and truffle ones, in the most important firms of the area. Our main goal is to give an unforgettable stay to all of our guests! |
